Our Story – The Birth of Daisy Farms
Daisy Farmfoods was founded with a simple but powerful vision — to help tackle Nigeria’s growing food shortage by producing high-quality, affordable eggs while creating sustainable jobs for the youth.
The idea for the farm was conceived in 2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when global food insecurity exposed the urgent need for local agricultural development. Motivated by a deep sense of purpose and love for his homeland, our founder — an entrepreneur who had successfully run businesses abroad — decided to return home and invest his life savings into something meaningful: building a farm that would feed families, empower communities, and inspire change.
After months of research, planning, and preparation, Daisy Farms was born — a 50,000-bird capacity integrated poultry farm designed to balance innovation with hands-on, manual methods that promote local employment and skills development.
Construction began with two modern poultry pens, staff quarters, and essential infrastructure, giving an initial capacity of 20,000 layer birds. In June 2022, the first batch of birds arrived, marking the official opening of Daisy Farms for operations.
From that humble beginning, the farm has grown beyond the founder’s original dream. Today, Daisy Farms is proudly run by a dedicated team of passionate staff who have embraced the vision and made it their own. Together, they have built a thriving enterprise that stands as a symbol of resilience, community, and opportunity.
As Daisy Farms continues to grow, we are preparing to expand into large-scale broiler production, further contributing to Nigeria’s food supply and creating even more employment opportunities for local youths.
At Daisy Farms, every egg tells a story — of hard work, hope, and the unwavering belief that success is even greater when it is shared.
Our Values
The principles that guide everything we do
At Daisy Farms, our mission goes beyond producing eggs — we’re committed to feeding families, empowering communities, and farming responsibly for a better Nigeria.
Animal Welfare
We believe healthy birds produce better eggs. Our flocks are well-cared for, humanely raised, and managed with attention to comfort, hygiene, and nutrition. Even within caged systems, we go beyond basic welfare standards — ensuring ample space, proper ventilation, balanced feeding, and stress-free handling.
Sustainability
We are committed to responsible, eco-friendly farming practices such as solar energy generation. Through waste recycling, efficient resource use, and organic manure production, we ensure that our growth benefits both people and the planet.
Integrity and Quality
We believe in honesty, transparency, and excellence in all we do. From the feed we use to the eggs we sell, quality is never compromised. Every product that leaves our farm represents our promise of freshness, nutrition, and trust.
